Atticus Equal Opportunities Policy
Atticus Associates considers all forms of discrimination to be unacceptable in the workplace. It is our policy to provide equal opportunities throughout employment, including remuneration, recruitment and the training and promotion of all Associates.
Purpose
This means that all job applicants and Associates will receive equal treatment regardless of race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, sex, mental or physical disability, age, religion or belief, marital status or sexual orientation or working hours.
Atticus Associates is committed to the promotion of equal opportunities and to ensure that the resources, talent and skills of all Associates are maximised. Our policy is to treat all Associates with respect and dignity and to ensure that Associates are not victimised, bullied or subjected to harassment on any grounds.
We seek to fulfil this commitment to equal opportunities through the application of policies and procedures which are consistent and equitable and which recognise the expertise and ability of each individual.
There will be a regular review of the application of our policy in order to ensure its effectiveness. Everyone has a responsibility to ensure this policy is carried out properly. Managers are responsible for ensuring that any discriminatory behaviour is dealt with swiftly and firmly.
To whom the policy applies
This policy applies to all the Firm's Employees, Contract Associates and workers providing services to the us, irrespective of seniority, and to all applicants for employment with Atticus Associates.
Application of the policy
All contract terms and conditions shall be non-discriminatory, except in cases where there is a legal requirement that the job holder is of a specified gender or where health and safety requirements apply.
All applicants for contract or permanent employment and all Associates applying for alternative positions or promotion within Atticus Associates shall be assessed according to their skills, experience and suitability to do the job.
Job advertisements used will be non-discriminatory. Similarly, the publications in which advertisements are placed will be selected to target a full spectrum of potential job applicants.
Training
Equal consideration will be given to all Associates for training and development.
Implementation and monitoring
To achieve our policy of equal opportunities, management and supervisory personnel will receive equal opportunities training. The aim of this training will be to develop equal opportunities and provide information skills and advice so as to ensure the effective implementation of the Atticus Associates' equal opportunities policy.
Atticus Associates will monitor the equal opportunities policy and progress in achieving its objectives. Where barriers to equal opportunities are identified, any necessary changes to this policy will be made.
Remedial procedure
If you believe that you have been subjected to discrimination on any grounds you are encouraged to discuss the matter informally with an Atticus Director who has ultimate responsibility for HR matters.
